Introduction:

This editor utility widget is a specialized tool designed to enhance the K-animation workflow for Control Rig in Unreal Engine. It introduces a new and intuitive animation approach, improving both productivity and user experience. Once mastered, this tool can significantly boost your animation creation efficiency.

Features:

  1. Control Rig Point Selection and Control:

    • Dragging buttons in the panel allows direct adjustment of Control Rig points’ rotation or movement.

    • For example: Dragging the Body button rotates the Body_Ctrl point; finger buttons adjust finger joints.

    • Eliminates the need to return to the viewport for Transform Gizmo adjustments, streamlining workflow efficiency.

  2. Local Space & Directional Root (DR):

    • Local Space: Adjusts based on the point's local axis.

    • DR Mode: Uses a specified control point (e.g., Root_Ctrl) as the reference, suitable for skeletons misaligned with world directions

  3. Directional Buttons & Hotkeys:

    • Quickly switch camera views to the front, back, left, or right relative to Root_Ctrl.

    • Supports hotkeys (e.g., Shift + QWEASD) for fast toggling between modes, including movement, rotation, local/DR spaces, and camera views.

  4. Adaptive Function Button:

    • One-click adjustment to move hand or other body part control points to preconfigured ideal positions.

    • Allows custom adaptive transforms to fit various scenarios.

  5. Pose Temp Storage:

    • Six storage slots for saving and loading pre-adjusted K-animation poses.

    • Enables selective loading of upper or lower body poses, facilitating combination and reuse across different characters.

6.Select set button:

  • Left button can batch select several control points, right click can be selected the current control point preset to the button. This button cannot be dragged to trigger direct rotation or movement.

Tips for Use:

  • Adjust mapped control points with small, precise mouse movements, repeating as needed for finer adjustments.

  • The system dynamically switches axis mapping based on the camera view, ensuring accurate adjustments.
