This pack contains 160 unique game-ready & scientifically accurate flower/plant meshes made for use in Unreal 5 with Nanite and Lumen. The assets consist of flowering and non-flowering plants made from 3 different species of flowers including naturally occurring color variations:
Impatiens (Impatiens walleriana)
SuperCal Petchoa (Petunia x Calibrachoa SuperCal Petchoa Series)
Vinca/Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus)
Each species of flower has 3 color variations and a non-flowering version, built into varying shapes ranging from single-stem flowers to large clusters for ground cover, as well as 3D fallen petal meshes (not decals). The textures were created using real-world photographs of the plants and hand-modeled based on real-world reference, with extra care used to keep them scientifically accurate. Additional color variations were created by recoloring the original textures to match real-world color variations of those flowers.
All of the meshes were made from the ground up to be used with Nanite: no texture transparency is used, meaning the flowers are fully modeled and offer both high-fidelity and high-performance when using Nanite. No photogrammetry was used in their creation, allowing the textures to be intentionally laid-out and optimized at 2k resolution. All of the plant materials are instanced from a single master, further increasing performance without sacrificing visual quality. The materials include a simple wind, using distance-based WPO to add believable movement to the flowers without sacrificing performance.
