Modules: TALODTailor (Editor, Default loading phase)

Plugin dependencies: DataValidation (ships with the engine)

Network replicated: No

Supported platforms: Win64, Mac, Linux (editor only; nothing is packaged into your game)

Meshes: static and skeletal meshes (skeletal reimport protection on UE 5.3+, skeletal Nanite on UE 5.5+)

LODs: built with Unreal's own mesh reduction; every run is backed up first (Saved/LODTailor/Backups) and can be restored

Reports: HTML (with LOD pictures), CSV and JSON; the commandlet pictures static meshes only (-AllowCommandletRendering)

Folder rules on import: new meshes only; an import over an existing mesh leaves its LODs as they are

Known limitations: on UE 5.1-5.4 the Nanite data size is estimated (marked "~"; verdicts unchanged). On UE 5.2 only, a reimport through the experimental Interchange FBX importer (off by default) drops generated LODs; run the batch again

Entry points: Tools > ta LOD Tailor, Content Browser menu (Check Mesh LODs, Check LODs, Tailor LODs...), LOD Tailor button in the Static and Skeletal Mesh Editor toolbars, Data Validation, Python via unreal.TALODTailorSubsystem

Settings: Project Settings > Plugins > ta LOD Tailor, or a shared ta LOD Tailor Settings asset (JSON export and import)
