Editor-only code plugin. One module (DevJournal), type Editor, loading phase

PostEngineInit. Never compiled into a packaged game build.

DISTRIBUTION

Ships as source and is compiled by the host project. No prebuilt binaries, no

external DLLs, no third-party libraries. Blueprint-only projects need the

standard Unreal C++ toolchain (Visual Studio with the C++ workload) to build it.

DEPENDENCIES

Stock Unreal modules only: Core, Engine, DeveloperSettings, Slate, UnrealEd,

ToolMenus, AssetRegistry, DirectoryWatcher, BlueprintGraph, HTTP, Json,

LevelEditor and related editor modules. Plus Advapi32.lib on Win64, for Windows

Credential Manager.

NETWORK

No connection is required for any deterministic functionality. The optional AI

layer is off by default; with it off the plugin makes no requests, performs no

model discovery and downloads nothing.

Ollama, OpenAI and Anthropic are contacted over HTTP as services only when the

user enables them. No SDK, client library or header from any of them is

included. The Ollama command-line tool is never invoked. Ollama is not bundled

and is never installed automatically.

PROCESSES

Only "git" and "p4", both read-only, and only when that source control system is

already present in the project.

FILES WRITTEN

For source control: Documentation/DevJournal/{Daily,Assets,Systems,History}/

Machine-local: Saved/DevJournal/

API keys are stored in Windows Credential Manager, never written into project

configuration and never rendered into generated documentation.

The plugin never modifies project assets, source files or the working copy.
