Overview

The Space Navigation Template provides a core physics-based flight system and a pre-configured celestial environment for Unreal Engine. It is designed for developers needing a quick, visual-ready starting point for space prototypes or cinematic scenes.

Features

Movement: 6-DOF controls (Roll, Pitch, Yaw) with 3-speed engine acceleration and stopping logic.
Celestial Actors: Planets with atmosphere shaders and a sun actor for lighting consistency and projected shadows.
Procedural Spawner: A Blueprint to automatically generate asteroid fields and debris clusters.
Art Direction: Integrated post-processing stack and cinematic lighting and atmosphere setup.
There is also a GameState and a GameOver (triggered upon crashing).

Number of Blueprints: 2 -> The Spaceship Navigation Blueprint and the Asteroid Field Blueprint.

Network Replicated: No.

Supported Development Platforms: Windows.

Important/Additional Notes: This template is using a very basic setup but can get you going with Art Direction in your space scenes and easy prototyping. There is currently no collision.
