Saphira (male) and Aurora (female) were two parakeets in our family for twelve years. At first, they roamed freely and were not confined to a cage. After they had their five baby parakeets, we constructed a cage and placed them all within. Saphira suffered from arthritis of his left claw, forcing him to sit on only one foot. Aurora aged more gracefully. On 4 March 2018, the two birds passed peacefully within one week of each other. This model commemorates their life well lived.
