Saukele – a traditional Kazakh headdress for brides, a sacred symbol of the transition from girlhood to womanhood. The tall and ornate Saukele is passed down through generations, highlighting the bride’s social status, family wealth, and beauty.

We dedicate this Saukele to Balkadisha, whose name is remembered in history. The song “Balkadisha” depicts the tragic fate of Kadisha, who was forced to marry someone she did not love.
