  • Added smoke opacity controls for all guns

Update # 1

All effects have received a slight overhaul for more oomph. The automatic sniper effect is now more akin to a 50 cal, the shotgun muzzle flash is now more explosive, gun smoke now expands more wildly and much, much more.

Previous versions are still available in the Version_1 folder. Enjoy.

General description:

A muzzle flash pack to cover all your basic shooter needs, suitable for any game going for realism with a variety of ballistic weapons. Each gun category has one particle system intended for first person view and one intended for third person view (in other words, a version that looks consistent from all view angles).

This pack contains muzzle flash effects designed for assault rifles, shotguns, sub machine guns, designated marksman rifles (or DRM), sniper rifles and a couple of effects for suppressed assault rifles and pistols. On top of that I've included a couple of bullet tracer systems, one generic and one for buckshot (unusual as far as I know but hey, it looks cool).

Then there's also a casing ejection system, with what you'd expect; a bit of smoke and flying casings with collision that de-spawn after a small amount of time. I've kept it separate from the muzzle systems so it's easier to implement per weapon to account for different ejection port positions between guns.

All muzzle flashes aside from the suppressed ones emit light.

Controls & customizability:

All systems have exposed parameters for you to make general adjustments to colors, speed, sizes and lifetimes.

All materials and instances include controls for depth fade (for reducing clipping if effects intersect with geometry) and distortion in case you want even more variability in how the effects look at the cost of a tiny bit of performance.
