In this animation pack, we offer a series of synchronized carjacking animations. Each animation takes a different approach to the scene, providing several different carjacking situations and different weapons for the attacker. The victim's animations also vary depending on the scene. To maximize variety, some scenes have been designed for use in gameplay, while others are more visual (non-interactive). Please note that all animations have been created on the assumption that the driver is seated in the left-hand seat.
All animations are motion captured, recorded at 50fps and finalized at 60fps. All bones are animated, including those of the fingers. The animations are performed by Stéphane Pfeffer, an amateur actor, and Nicolas Villet, a professional stuntman.
Please note that only the animations are sold; no scenery or vehicles with rigging are provided with the purchase. The 3D model is for aesthetic and technical purposes only. You may need to make a few minor adjustments to ensure that the animation matches your characters and the vehicle you have chosen. Feel free to watch our “A Close Look” video to see all of the animations. All animations is in FBX format and have a Unreal Engine 4 and 5 skeleton versions. Also, regarding the files themselves, please note that UE4 animations will be of the “Asset Package” type, whereas UE5 animations are additional files that you simply need to drag and drop into your project. Please note that the animations are originally created and baked onto a custom skeleton, then retargeted to the UE4 skeleton using custom tools; in UE5, the UE4 skeleton is then retargeted directly to the UE5 skeleton. The UE5 FBX files are provided in the pack.
List of animations:
7 animations without weapons
5 animations with one or two guns
2 animations with an axe
2 animations where the attacker burns the car (Technically it's not carjacking because the car burns and can no longer be stolen, but why not...)
We therefore have a total of 16 animations in duo, or 32 animations in total, all in FBX format with Unreal Engine 4 and 5 skeleton.
