Building Information

Worcester Union Station is a magnificent French-Renaissance styled building completed in 1911, designed by Philadelphia architects Watson and Huckel and originally considered the most beautiful building in Massachusetts. The station features soaring twin white marble towers and is faced with glazed white terra-cotta, modelled after a Roman basilica. After undergoing restoration in 1998-1999, it now serves as an important intermodal transportation hub for Amtrak, MBTA commuter rail, and bus services in downtown Worcester.
