Maubeuge is a commune in northern France, in the Hauts-de-France region, in the Nord department, in the arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe, and the capital of the canton of the same name. It is located 39 km east of Valenciennes and 11 km from the Belgian border, 4 km from the N2 motorway. The Sambre River flows through the town.
