Description

Santuary of the Nymphs and Pan. Dedication

Apollo with a kithara, Hermes with a kerykeion and three Nymsphs dance around an altar. At left, Pan plays the syrinx (flute with several holes); at right a group of worshippers.

Found in 1900 on the south foothills of the Acropolis, it most possibly relates with the nearby Sanctuary of the Nymphs and Pan. The relief is in the form of a small temple but with two columns on the façade instead of the usual antas.
