Descripción

Physics Asset Generator is an Unreal Engine editor plugin for quickly creating practical Physics Assets from Skeletal Meshes. It adds a Content Browser action that opens generation settings, builds body chains from the selected mesh, and creates fitted collision bodies and constraints with options you can review before generation.

The plugin is designed for teams that need repeatable first-pass Physics Assets for humanoids, creatures, tails, wings, and other chain-based rigs. You can ignore specific bones, edit generated chain setups, choose output suffixes, assign the generated Physics Asset back to the mesh, and optionally create a matching Physics Control Asset.

Constraint setup can use a reference animation or nearby matching animations to tune angular limits, helping the generated asset start closer to real motion ranges instead of relying only on a static reference pose.

Key Features:

- Content Browser action for supported Skeletal Mesh, Skeleton, and Physics Asset selections

- Automatic chain setup discovery with editable root and end bones

- Body role and chain type support for spine, head and neck, limbs, tails, and wings

- Ignore-bone list for excluding helper or non-physical bones

- Configurable Physics Asset and Physics Control Asset output suffixes

- Optional assignment of the generated Physics Asset back to the source mesh

- Animation-aware constraint limit tuning from explicit or nearby animation assets

- Blueprint-callable helper functions for generation, description, filtered inspection, and asset comparison

- Runtime data types separated from editor-only generation tooling

Intended Use:

Use this plugin to produce repeatable starting Physics Assets for characters and creatures, then make any final artistic or gameplay-specific adjustments in Unreal Engine's standard Physics Asset tools.
