Medios 1 para el artículo Toon Decal Megapack - 360 Decals for Unity & Unreal

Descripción

All nine Taproot toon decal packs in one: 360 cartoon decals across comic sound effects, speech balloons, halftone and speed lines, toon damage, splats and goo, crayon and chalk doodles, kids' stickers, playground markings and footprints. Each theme is five kinds of decal with eight variations of each, and every decal fades to nothing before the edge of its texture.

Flat cel color with hard shade bands and bold ink outlines, a light normal map so they catch the light without losing the cartoon look, and gloss on the stickers. Every decal is a 1024x1024 set of maps: color with opacity in the alpha channel, a normal map, roughness and height. Asset names carry their theme, so 360 decals sort cleanly.

UNITY

Tested in Unity 6000.5 with the Built-In Renderer and the Universal Render Pipeline. The decals ship as transparent materials for quads, the one decal route every pipeline has, and an included editor script binds them to the right shader for the pipeline your project runs when the package imports. In URP it also creates a material per decal for URP's Decal Projector. Textures come in clamped, so the border never tiles back in, with albedo alpha kept as transparency and normals flagged as normal maps. A demo scene puts every decal on a wall.

UNREAL

Unreal Engine 5.8, with no plugins. One deferred decal master material with an instance per decal, color and opacity from one texture, the normal already converted to Unreal's DirectX convention, and roughness from its own map. A demo level projects every decal onto a wall through Decal Actors.

ANY OTHER ENGINE

The raw maps ship alongside both formats as plain PNGs: albedo with alpha, normal, roughness and height. Godot's Decal node takes them directly.

CLEAN EDGES

Every decal fades to fully transparent before the edge of its texture, and that is checked at build time: a decal whose alpha reaches the border fails the build. Outside the decal the normal map is flat and the roughness neutral, so nothing shows under zero alpha.
