SS Gripfast was an iron built steam collier that sank off Ventnor, Isle of Wight, in 1893 following a large explosion.

The bell was recovered by Martin Woodward and is on display at the Shipwreck and Maritime Museum, Arreton, Isle of Wight, along with thousands of other artefacts.

The bell has a base diameter of 210 mm, with a height of 211 mm.
