ButterNet Multiplayer Voxel adds editable, replicated, persistent runtime voxel volumes to Unreal Engine.
Players dig, fill, paint and smooth the world. Every machine sees the same result, edits survive restarts, and disconnected pieces assume deterministic physics.
This plugin is a data-oriented approach to replicated world deformation with no dependency on any game code. Driven from Blueprint or C++ through a small set of functions, events and interfaces.
Runtime Mesh Voxelization
Turn any static mesh into destructible runtime voxels, with replication, automatic state save, and physics
Landscape Integration
Apply it directly to an existing landscape or heightmap, one world volume + one material function and you're good to go. ButterNet Voxel migrates world collision letting your players carve to the depths of heck, or build comically phallic structures.
Primitive Volumes & Splines
Shape your world your way, setup as many volumes as required each with different shapes, materials, and configurations.
Noise Volumes
Randomized heightmaps with optional procedural cave network.
Save State
Optional automatic save/load with oodle compression and easy serialization for custom backend support. All bytes collected and stored in a hyper-optimized manner and are network ready.
Prediction, Rollback, and Validation
Runtime voxel edits support prediction and rollback, with available interface for custom server-side authorization logic (line of sight checks, equipment requirements, distance, etc.)
