Description
The relief of the coins is of the order of a few micrometers. Because of this, scanning coins and medals is very complicated.
We have completed the development of the scanning technique and after a series of tests we can proudly announce that we are able to scan the front and back of coins with incredible detail. Literally at the level of scratches.
In order to view all the details, it was necessary to move the geometry information to a normal map. If we wanted to display the same details through a mesh, it would have to have about 1 million polygons
(out of love for Iceland)
