Three-Step COLMAP Dataset Workflow
Capture Images - render RGB views and write the COLMAP camera model.
Generate Point Cloud - choose a density preset after capture.
Color Point Cloud - sample colors from the captured images.
The optional .ply export is available when you want a portable point cloud, but it is not required for Gaussian Splat training.
