The Pop-Up Alien Worms are procedurally animated worms that pop out of their hiding hole and attack the player (or any other possible target).

  • They have smooth and organic-looking procedural movement, pop-up and attack animations, with various customization options.

  • They are actively animated using vector math and inverse kinematics.

  • They are based on a parent actor that takes care of all the base functionality for you. Using the base actor, you can easily create your own custom pop-up creature.

  • They are fully replicated and able to detect all the valid targets within range, selecting the closest one by default.

  • With optimized blueprints that reduce the logic needed to run on tick.

  • They also have a swaying "bait" antenna with physics based movement, which is a completely removable separate mesh.

In the demo, the worms are aiming for the player's torso, but target actors can provide more than a single attack location if you want them to, with no changes needed. As seen in the documentation.
