It is located in the suburb of Old Krotoszyn. Krotoszyn is a town in southern Wielkopolska in the Kalisz Plateau, at the crossroads of roads from Poznań to Wrocław and from Ostrów to Rawicz. The Church of St. Mary Magdalene is situated on a small plot of land in the northern part of the town, formerly belonging to the village of Stary Krotoszyn, at the junction of Łacnowa and Wiejska Streets. The church grounds are grassed and planted with trees. The church is a timber-framed, oriented building, built on a timber foundation resting on a fieldstone and partly brick foundation. The timber-framed walls are boarded from the outside with vertical overlapping boards, the plinth is boarded horizontally. It has a single nave with a square-shaped nave and a narrower rectangular presbytery closed at three sides.
