Video tutorial about creating ColorID textures: LINK
Colorizer is a master material for quickly and easily creating new variations of existing textures. You can load a ColorID texture to mask up to 4 parts of your mesh (or tiling texture, trim sheets, etc.) and change the parameters for each of those masks individually. You can change color, roughness, metalness, add texture and manipulate it.
With this tool you can easily create a lot of skins for your weapons; change the colour of your car or your character's clothes. These are just examples.
Colorizer comes with 395 seamless textures (mainly camouflages) that you can use with Colorizer or without as standard texture. You can expect more in the future!
Colorizer comes with Local Space Triplanar Projection option, which can help you to break bad looking pattern textures applied on your model.
Colorizer can be used without loading a ColorID texture, but then all changes will be applied to the whole model. You can create your own ColorID textures for any mesh by simply exporting a low poly model from Unreal Engine and using free software (more on this later).
I have also included a very simple level showcase. Press play and you will see a rotating mesh and buttons to change materials. You can easily replace this mesh and add/remove materials from the list - also included in the documentation.
To get the level showcase to work as intended, load Colorizer_ExampleMap and in the world settings make sure that GM_ColorizerMode is selected.
