TETHERED TEMPLATE: PHYSICS CHAIN AND ROPE FOR ANY THIRD PERSON GAME

Tie any two characters together with a real physics chain or rope, then drag, tug, and wrap them through your world. Whether you're chaining up a cooperative escape or staging a physics driven tug of war, this template hands you full control over every link. It drapes over cover, catches on pillars, and hauls with true weight.

HOW TO USE:

Use the TetherCharacter and TetherAttachPoint components for an easy, parameter driven way to tie any two rigs together and pull them with real physics. Drop them on your pawns and the solver wires itself on the first attach.

Alternatively, open the included Showcase scene to see every feature in action, or clone a Tether Item asset and tune its parameters to author your own chain or rope feel from scratch.

EASY TO CUSTOMIZE:

Create the perfect chain or rope for your scene using exposed parameters on the Tether Item asset:

Two Tether Feels: A rigid Chain of interlocked oval links, or an elastic Bungie Cord that stretches and snaps back. Clone either to make your own.

Length & Slack: Dial the leash and the hang before it pulls taut, per item or per character.

Stiffness & Damping: Go from a hard chain yank to a soft, springy rope on one slider.

Break Distance: Snap the link past a set stretch, or make it unbreakable.

Weight & Brace: Heavier wins. Plant your feet to win the pull instead of getting dragged across the floor.

Surface Drag: Drop a TetherSurface on any floor. Ice sends a dragged body sliding, a grate fights the pull.

Tug Burst: Set the yank speed, the plant, the lift cap, and the cooldown, then layer the built in heave pose onto your own rig.

Belt & Shackle: A belt ring rides the live waist bone in every pose. The tie point slides around it to face the pull, and a shackle bead hangs the chain.

Tune It Live: Every parameter sits in the Inspector and is safe to change while the game runs.

Every Tether Item is fully documented, with clean, well commented C#, making it easy to modify, expand, and build your own mechanics on top.

Automatic Camera Tour: Sit Back, Then Free Roam

Step on the pad and the showcase presents itself. A smooth spline camera glides the whole course, holds on every station in turn, then hands control straight back to you.
