Distant Lights is a code plugin that creates proxy lights to dramatically extend light draw distance and optimize dynamic shadow range.

The system operates through a World Subsystem, acting as a world lighting manager accessible from anywhere in Blueprint. Distant Light components can be added to any Blueprint Actor or placed directly in the level as standard Distant light actors — following the familiar Unreal workflow — and they auto‑register in the editor without any additional clicks. For large worlds or zone‑based setups, multiple Distant Lights Managers are supported.

Built-in editor conversion tool allows you to quickly convert already placed lights to Distant Lights.

Time of Day scenarios are supported out of the box with a single Blueprint event, allowing distant and actual light components to be smoothly or instantly blended based on user‑defined time.

Compatible with Point and Spot lights.
