Descrição

A single material that renders a live countdown as digits. No Blueprint, no Verse device, no per-frame cost on your side.

Short overview : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DOLq8i2aMY

Every behaviour is a parameter.

55 of them, sorted into 11 named groups, each with slider ranges and tooltips.

USAGE

  • UI brush in a widget

  • Verse material_block

  • Classic material in every surface in the world.

WHAT YOU GET

• 1 parent material, fully commented and grouped

• 14 ready-made material instances

• 11 glyph atlases — from a true 7-segment LED face to bold display typefaces

• A demo level showing 12 variant side by side

FEATURES

• Urgency colour ramp — digits shift towards warning, then critical, as time runs out

• Digit roll — odometer-style mechanical flip, with zero extra texture sampling

• Ghost segments — unlit segments behind the lit ones, for an authentic LED display

• Brightness pulse, optionally intensified as the countdown gets critical

• Procedural rounded backing plate — no extra texture, no extra mesh

• Fill texture with rotation, per-digit mapping, and a hue-replacement mode

• Screen FX: scanlines, flicker, vignette

• Outline, separator blink, emissive boost

TWO WAYS TO DRIVE IT

• Internal clock — set the duration once at match start and the material counts down by itself

• Verse-driven — flip one switch and feed it the value every tick; the time path is removed from the shader entirely

DISPLAY FORMATS

DDD:HH:MM:SS, HH:MM:SS, or MM:SS, switched by parameter.

BRING YOUR OWN TYPEFACE

Each atlas is a single row of 16 cells: digits in 0–9, separator in 10, five cells free.

Author a texture with the same layout and assign it — nothing else changes.

The included README documents the exact import settings.

PERFORMANCE

Each effect group sits behind a static switch, so anything you don't enable is removed at compile time and costs nothing.

Digit roll adds no texture sampling at all.

LICENSING

Every glyph atlas was rendered from a font permitting commercial use — SIL Open Font License, Apache 2.0, or an explicit free-commercial grant.
