描述

The scene combines the style of the trenches of World War I and World War II, and supports the use of blueprints or unreal landscape spline to create dynamically editable trenches

  • The scene uses dynamic lighting and no lightmap, and need to support global clip plane for Planar Reflections

  • The scene uses SSAO and DFAO. It is necessary to turn on the generate of mesh distance field and turn off the screen space global illumination.

  • All weapons in the scene do not include rigs and animations

  • Contains a Multipurpose Blueprint that generates trenches with spline (to ensure your landscape is not damaged, please read the guide before using it)

  • If you have any questions, please send me email first.

Old Question from unreal marketplace:

  • Q: Is it possible to upscale the resolution?

  • A: I don't quite understand what you mean.If you mean the image resolution, epic does not allow all images uploaded to exceed 25mb, so all images have been compressed by epic. You can use Post Process Effects in the project to change the rendering resolution. If you mean the landscape resolution, yes, you can increase the landscape resolution to improve the deformation and reduce aliasing of Trench BP or landscape spline. If your landscape resolution is too low, you will not get the correct deformation after turning on the landscape function

  • Q: do the trenches automatically deform the landscape or do i have to do that?

  • A: The trench BP has a landscape option, you can choose whether to turn it on, and change the landscape and layers you need to control.

You can control the width and depth of the landscape deformation in BP according to actual needs, but due to a bug in epic, when you use BP to control Spline on landscape, you cannot save the BP landscape deformation on your newly created landscape layer, which means that if you use the landscape function, it can only make destructive changes on the bottom landscape layer, but epic has not fixed this problem until UE5, and later I learned that other artists have also encountered this problem

Since I don’t have more time, I used the official landscape spline of Unreal to print the trench on the showmap. It can still achieve the same effect as BP, but it cannot control the length, position and model of each spline mesh as accurately as BP

You will get more information in the project’s guide
