FocalRig is an easy-to-use and performant library of self-configuring Control Rig nodes for procedural animation.

FocalRig makes it easy to:

- Replace or correct imprecise aim offsets with pixel-perfect procedural look and aim.

- Build third-person characters with procedural look, aim, and foot IK.

- Build true first-person player characters with foot IK, head bob, idle sway, landing dip, and world collision.

- Add weapon handling from just one hold pose. Precise muzzle aiming, ADS, recoil kick, moving bob, idle sway, landing dip, and aim lock.

- Preserve authored animations (reload, attack, etc.) even as you make them aim in any direction.

- Make eyes look at things with eye darts and cross-eye prevention.

- Add spray patterns to weapons or the camera using a spray pattern editor or configure cumulative recoil.

On top of that, FocalRig offers:

- Quick Setups: when you place a FocalRig node, it analyzes your custom skeleton to auto-fill all the bones, axes, and limits.

- Great Performance: A full-body character rig with procedural look, aim, and eyes runs faster than a single Full-Body IK node from the engine.

FocalRig is a code-only plugin. Tutorial project files with basic starter assets are available here. The characters and weapons shown in the gallery are Paragon assets which belong to Epic. They are part of the demo build but are not included with the plugin or tutorial files.
