Description
🎯 FPSTP is an advanced, modular FPS Template for both Singleplayer and Multiplayer projects, combining deep weapon mechanics, procedural animation, advanced ballistics, weapon attachments, grenades, AI, character movement, and numerous additional gameplay systems.
🧱 FPSTP can be used as the foundation for your own shooter or as a collection of ready-made FPS systems that can be integrated into an existing project.
⚙️ Built entirely with Blueprints, FPSTP is designed to let developers focus on their game, content, and gameplay experience instead of rebuilding fundamental FPS systems from scratch.

⭐ Why Developers Choose This Template
100% Blueprint
Singleplayer, PvP & Co-op
Modular, data-driven architecture
7 weapons, 15 attachments, 187 animations
Projectile ballistics with penetration & ricochets
Procedural animation & IK
Mantling & Vaulting
Grenade & Medicine Systems
Save & Load
Enhanced Input
UE5 Skeleton
🌐 Singleplayer & Multiplayer
Core gameplay systems support both Singleplayer and Multiplayer, including networked weapons, attachments, AI, grenades, medicine, and server-authoritative damage.
Local actions such as aiming, firing animations, recoil, and other visual feedback are designed to remain responsive under high network latency, while authoritative gameplay logic remains on the server.
Supports Singleplayer, PvP & Co-op projects.
🏃 Character Movement & Control
Walking
Sprinting
Crouching
Jumping
Leaning
Free Look
Turn In Place
Leg IK
Climbing — Mantling & Vaulting
The Climbing System automatically detects obstacles and selects the appropriate traversal action.
Controls use Enhanced Input and the animation system uses the UE5 Skeleton.
🔫 Weapon System
7 ready-to-use weapons:
Assault Rifle
Handgun
Sniper Rifle
Pump-Action Shotgun
Double-Barreled Shotgun
SMG
Melee Weapon — Axe
Weapon mechanics:
Aiming
Reloading
Weapon Inspection
Breath Holding
Weapon Jams & Animated Malfunction Clearing
Animated Fire Mode Switching
Weapon Durability
Ergonomics
Procedural Recoil
Weapon Sway
Weapon Blocking near obstacles
Weapon condition affects malfunction probability, while Ergonomics affects aiming speed and Weapon Sway.
Weapons can be assigned through IDs, simplifying the addition of new weapons and integration with external Inventory and Item Systems.
🛠️ Weapon Attachments
15 attachments included:
Sights: Collimator, Holographic & Optical Sights, Reticle Switching, Brightness Adjustment, Two Zeroing Methods
Muzzle: Muzzlebrake, Compensators, Suppressors
Gadgets: Laser, Flashlight, Laser + Flashlight, Gadget Config Switching
Attachments can modify weapon characteristics.
🙌 Procedural Animation & IK
FPSTP uses IK and procedural systems, reducing the need for unique animation sets for every weapon.
IK Weapon Movement
Aiming
Procedural Recoil
Weapon Interaction while Sprinting
Camera-based Weapon Sway
Weapon Blocking near obstacles
Adding a new weapon does not require creating an entirely new animation set.
187 animations included:
148 FP hand animations
39 Full-Body Movement & Climbing animations
🎯 Advanced Ballistics
Bullets are individual Projectile Actors, not instant Hitscan shots.
Surface Penetration & Thickness Calculation
Impact Angle Calculation
Ricochets at shallow angles
Physical Material support
Surface-dependent Impact Effects
Impact & Blood Splatter Decals
💣 Grenade System
4 grenade types: Frag, Smoke, Flash & Contact
Strong & Weak Throws use different strengths and corresponding animations.
Lethal Blast Radius: characters inside the lethal zone are killed if there is no obstacle between them and the grenade.
Fragmentation: multiple traces with different trajectories simulate fragments while accounting for obstacles.
Concussion: nearby protected characters can experience Screen Blur, Ear Ringing, and Muffled Environmental Audio instead of lethal damage.
Explosion Decals automatically align to floors, walls, and angled surfaces.
💉 Medicine System
Medicine items can be held, switched, and used with animations. The system is data-driven and supports Multiplayer.
FPSTP includes an Injector. Additional medicine items can be added through the Data Table using the existing logic.
🤖 AI Enemies
Sight & Hearing Perception
Target Detection, Pursuit, Loss & Reacquisition
Burst Firing & Reloading
Difficulty-based reaction time and firing speed
In Calm Mode, AI can Turn In Place, sprint, crouch, switch weapon slots, inspect weapons, and reload partially empty magazines.
AI weapons and attachments can be randomized.
💥 Damage, Hit Reaction & Melee
Procedural Hit Reaction makes the upper body react according to the direction of an incoming hit without requiring separate directional animations.
Headshots
Physical Ragdoll on Death
Bullet Impact Impulse
Character Impact Effects
Blood Splatter Decals
Server-authoritative Multiplayer Damage
Melee Weapons & Bare-Handed Combat
💾 Save & Load System
The Singleplayer Save & Load System supports multiple save slots.
Player: weapons & attachments, health, location, camera direction, inventory, ammunition, grenades, medicine, and selected weapon/item slot.
AI: location, health, weapons & attachments.
Note: Save & Load is Singleplayer only and does not support saving Multiplayer sessions.
💪 Additional Systems
Skill System: character progression affecting gameplay parameters.
Workbench: repair worn weapons and restore their condition.
🧩 Modularity & Integration
FPSTP uses modular Gameplay Components and data-driven configuration.
ID-based weapon assignment
Weapon assignment separated from equipping
Systems can be expanded independently
Integration with custom Inventory, Item, UI, and other Gameplay Systems
Use FPSTP as a complete FPS foundation or integrate individual systems into an existing project.
⚡ Optimization
Optimized Textures & Size Map
Reduced unnecessary asset dependencies
Significantly reduced project size
Network traffic optimizations
