Sculptor: Oladele Ogbeyemi

Description

This metal sculpture by Oladele Ogbeyemi presents a stylized, bull-like figure crafted entirely from assembled scrap metal. The animal is shown in an unusual, dynamic pose—balanced on its front legs with its body lifted upward, creating a sense of motion and tension.

The form is highly detailed and mechanical in appearance. Its body is constructed from layered metal plates, rods, and circular components that resemble gears and joints. These pieces are arranged to suggest musculature and structure, giving the figure both an organic and industrial quality. The head features prominent, forward-pointing horns, reinforcing its resemblance to a bull, while the elongated rear section curves upward in an exaggerated, almost surreal manner.

The surface has a weathered metallic finish, combining tones of bronze, steel, and oxidation, which enhances its textured and rugged look. Mounted on a simple rectangular base, the sculpture stands upright.
