Medium 1 für Eintrag Water & Splash VFX Vol. 1 - 32 2D Sprite Sheet Effects

Beschreibung

32 water and splash effects: liquid that behaves like liquid. Splash crowns, droplet impacts, ripple rings, breaking waves, bursting bubbles, geyser spouts, water slashes and low flat splashes, with the translucency and broken droplets that sell water rather than blue smoke.

These are 2D sprite animations. Every effect is a flipbook of drawn frames, not a 3D particle system and not a VFX Graph asset. You play them on a sprite, a quad or a UI image, which is why they behave the same in any engine and need no per-engine setup.

How this pack is organised: the pack is one theme. The theme holds 8 effects, and each effect comes as 4 separate animated variations of itself, so the same effect does not play identical frames every time it fires. 32 animations in total.

Every variation ships in four formats, ready for whatever your engine prefers:

frames/001-024.png - numbered RGBA sequence, 768x768

sheet.png - one 5x5 spritesheet, 3840x3840, RGBA

anim.png - lossless animated PNG with alpha, for web and UI

preview.gif - small looping preview for quick browsing

The eight effects:

Splash Burst - ONE single water splash crown, centred in a pure black field, a ring of translucent blue-white water fingers thrown upward, droplets breaking off the tips, foam flecks between them, wet highlights

Droplet Impact - ONE single water droplet crown, centred in a pure black field, a crown of translucent water fingers flung outward and upward from a single point in mid air, a slender rebound column at its centre with a bead at the tip, fine satellite droplets, nothing beneath it

Ripple Ring - ONE single expanding rings of water spray, centred in a pure black field, two or three bright concentric rings built from flying droplets and torn water, seen perfectly face-on and perfectly round like a target, sharp inner ring and finer outer rings, hanging in empty space with no water beneath them

Wave Crash - ONE single curling sheet of water, centred in a pure black field, a single translucent blue sheet of water curling over on itself in mid air, torn spray flying off its curling edge, no sea and no foam clouds, isolated in empty space

Bubble Pop - ONE single bursting water bubbles, centred in a pure black field, two or three large translucent spheres filling much of the frame, bright rim highlights and thin iridescent film, one of them tearing open

Geyser Spout - ONE single vertical geyser jet, centred in a pure black field, a narrow column of white water driven upward through empty space, widening into a plume of spray and mist at the top, the bottom of the column fading out into nothing

Water Slash - ONE single swept water slash trail, centred in a pure black field, a tapered ribbon of compressed translucent water following a swung curve, thick and hard at the leading end and thinning to a fine point at the tail, droplets torn off along its length

Puddle Splash - ONE single low wide splash of water, centred in a pure black field, water thrown out sideways in a low, wide spray of glistening droplets and ragged splashes, translucent and irregular, spreading left and right from a bright centre, hanging in empty space with nothing beneath it

The Unity download is a real .unitypackage exported from the editor, so the textures arrive as Sprites with alpha kept, no compression, and each 5x5 sheet already sliced into its 24 frames. UNITY_README.txt walks through turning a frame sequence into a playing clip, and which additive material to use. The zip of PNG frames is there too, for every other engine.

It also carries a demo scene. Open Demo/<pack> Demo.unity and every effect in the pack is laid out on a ground plane, playing at 24 fps with its name beside it, each one already wired up with a SpriteRenderer, an Animator and an additive material to copy straight into your own scene.

These are additive effects: authored on black, with alpha derived from their own brightness, so they drop straight into an additive or screen blend in Unity, Godot, Unreal, GameMaker, Defold, or a web canvas. The included README gives the exact blend setting for each engine. Normal alpha blending also works and simply reads a little flatter.

Authored at 24 fps and built to fire and finish: each effect opens, peaks and clears rather than looping, which is what a one-shot needs to read at gameplay speed. Every variation was measured for motion so none of them sit still on screen.

Every animation was measured for motion, clean start and finish and edge artefacts, then reviewed by eye; nothing here is a raw generator dump, and takes that did not hold up were cut rather than padding the count.

Royalty-free for commercial and personal projects, with no attribution required. No resale or redistribution as an asset pack; full license text is included in the download.
