설명
The Bainbridge Memorial Fountain is located in the Horse Market in Middleton-in-Teesdale. It was built in 1877, in honour of Robert Walton Bainbridge, on his retirement as superintendent of the London Lead Mining Company. The company had made Middleton it’s main administrative centre in the 19th century. Bainbridge and his wife lived in Middleton House during his time as superintendent. The memorial fountain is Grade II listed.
This is a scan of part of the fountain, it is the draped figure of a cherub holding an oar and seated on a urn in the centre of a wide brimmed basin atop a fluted pedestal. The 3d scan was made using Artec Eva 3d scanner.
