The OA-1K Sky Warden is an American fixed-wing, single-engine light attack/armed reconnaissance aircraft for the U.S. Special Operations Command’s (SOCOM) Armed Overwatch program. Developed from an agricultural aircraft, the OA-1 can loiter over the battlefield for up to 8 hours, providing overwatch and armed support. It is equipped with electronic warfare, signals intelligence, eavesdropping, jamming, and can communicate directly with ground troops, sharing real-time intelligence. With a crew of two (pilot and mission payload operator), the OA-1 operates in all weather conditions and features sophisticated sensors including SAR radar, AESA radars, and LIDAR systems. For self-protection, it has missile warning, laser jamming, and flare systems. The OA-1 has 10 hardpoints and can carry up to 16,000 pounds of ordnance.
