설명

This 3D scan presents Herder (Shepherd), a bronze sculpture by Dutch artist Paul van Crimpen (1932–1999), located in Kennemerpark, Alkmaar. Created in 1985, this piece is part of Van Crimpen's Schaapsherders series, inspired by his friend Jan Boom, a professional shepherd who modeled for the artwork. The series began in 1981 and reflects Van Crimpen’s dedication to capturing the serene, timeless presence of a shepherd with his flock. Despite initial setbacks, including storm damage to the mold, the sculpture was completed and has since become an integral part of Alkmaar’s public art landscape. This scan showcases the intricate bronze and hardstone detailing, offering art enthusiasts a digital way to explore the piece’s historic and artistic significance.
