World Bending Shaders

World Bending Shaders includes 8 unique World Position Offset materials, each provided as a Material Function for easy integration and customization. In addition to WPOs, each function also generates dynamic normals to maintain accurate lighting across deformed surfaces.


Types of Shaders

  • Tiny Planet Shader - Classic little planet effect.

  • Cylinder Shader - Animal Crossing's exaggerated horizon effect.

  • Runner Shader - Classic infinite runner effect.

  • Spiral Shader - Vertical and Horizontal spiral effects.

  • Inception Shader - Dual spiral with "flat" offset.

  • Twisted Spiral Shader - Spiral with twist on the X axis.

  • Balloon Shader - Quick and quirky inflation effect.

  • The Scream Shader - Recreation of 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch.

Blueprint Helpers

The asset comes with a helpful Blueprint Function Library that converts any world location into its shader space location and rotation. With this, you can have real transformations, opening up room for more possibilities.

Example Levels

The asset includes showroom levels that demonstrate the basic functionality of each shader, as well as example levels that highlight their full artistic potential.

Notes:


You may encounter an SM6 shader error message. If so, go to Project Settings & enable SM6 under D3D12 Targeted Shader Formats.

The Twisty Hallways example needs Lumen enabled. Go to Rendering > Global Illumination > Switch to Lumen

This is a World Position Offset material pack. It doesn't affect the actual geometry and its collision.
