説明
Give spot and point lights real photometric character. IES Lighting Profiles ships 20 curated IESNA light profiles imported as Texture Light Profile assets, renamed descriptively by their measured beam behavior - narrow spots, wide floods, multi-lobe and ring distributions - so the right profile is obvious from the name alone.
BP_IES_ProfilePreview provides profile selection, intensity, color, distance, and cone controls with normalized and non-normalized preview modes, and the overview map lines up all 20 profiles in an identical comparison layout.
A volumetric demo map stages seven hero profiles as light shafts in fog - pencil beams, hollow ring cones, and multi-lobe patterns - powered by the included IES light function master material that projects any profile into volumetric fog (Unreal's fog does not sample IES textures natively), with pre-framed cameras and shipping-ready fog settings.
FEATURES
20 IES profiles as Texture Light Profile assets
Descriptive names derived from measured beam angles and distribution
Technical table - peak candela, beam angle, field angle, symmetry - per profile
BP_IES_ProfilePreview with profile, intensity, color, distance, and cone controls
Normalized and non-normalized brightness preview modes
Consistent side-by-side comparison overview map with readable labels
Volumetric fog demo map - seven hero profiles as light shafts, pre-framed cameras, tuned fog settings
IES light function master material + 7 ready-made instances for volumetric fog shafts (fog ignores plain IES textures)
Original .ies source files included for use outside Unreal
Markdown documentation, readable in-editor with the free Slate Doc Reader
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
IES profiles apply to spot and point lights; directional and rect lights do not use light profiles.
Unreal's volumetric fog does not sample IES textures; the included light function master provides the fog-shaft look and requires the Light Function Atlas settings shipped in DefaultEngine.ini.
Profiles are axially symmetric type-C photometry as measured in the original files.
