Su Nuraxi di Barumini es la denominación oficial dada por la Unesco a un yacimiento de la cultura nurágica en la isla de Cerdeña (Italia).Considerada por los arqueólogos el más grande de toda Cerdeña, el yacimiento nurágico denominado Su Nuraxi (en sardo campidanés: ‘Su Nuraxi’), surge al oeste del centro habitado de Barumini, entre la margen occidental del Sarcidano y de la Marmilla. Se encuentra sobre una altura que domina la amplia llanura, a 238 m s. n. m., y se destaca inconfundiblemente sobre el perfil horizontal de la meseta basáltica de la Giara de Gesturi, situado poco después, hacia el Norte.

Se trata de una gran fortaleza, construida en diferentes épocas históricas, entre los siglo XIII a. C. y siglo VI a. C., alrededor de una torre central. Todo el complejo arqueológico se excavó por completo ―entre 1949 y 1956― por el arqueólogo baruminés Giovanni Lilliu.

Su Nuraxi di Barumini is the official name given by UNESCO to a site of the Nuragic culture on the island of Sardinia (Italy). Considered by archaeologists as the largest in all of Sardinia, the Nuragic site called Su Nuraxi (in Sardinian Campidanese: ‘Su Nuraxi’) is located to the west of the inhabited center of Barumini, between the western edge of the Sarcidano and Marmilla areas. It sits on a height that overlooks the wide plain, at 238 meters above sea level, and it stands out unmistakably against the flat profile of the basaltic plateau of the Giara of Gesturi, which is slightly further north.

It is a large fortress, built in different historical periods between the 13th century BC and the 6th century BC, around a central tower. The entire archaeological complex was fully excavated ― between 1949 and 1956 ― by the Barumini archaeologist Giovanni Lilliu.
