Opis

Mira Ashfen is an editable MetaHuman designed for narrative-driven and dark-fantasy projects. She has short, tousled black hair, brown eyes, and a lean face marked by wind, weather, and years of hard living. Her expression stays calm and distant, yet a sharp wariness remains in her gaze. Her build is slender but capable, carrying the controlled quickness of someone trained to react before others finish moving.

Background

The Shattered Crown War has lasted twelve years. Human forces fight under the Crown King’s banner to push back orc raids. Elven woodlands hold their borders and quietly disrupt supply lines. Orc tribes press from the mountains. Dwarven holds that once stayed neutral by selling weapons and controlling passes are now split—some keep trading, some seal their gates, and a few younger dwarves have begun to intervene. Across abandoned battlefields and ruined villages a slower threat spreads: the living dead, corpses that rise again, difficult to destroy and drawn toward the living.

Mira was born in the border settlement of Ashfen. She grew up with a younger brother; the two constantly play-fought in the fields and along the tree line. During one of those scuffles she discovered she possessed unusually fast reflexes—she could catch his sudden lunges the moment they began. Their father, a former soldier, only remarked that the gift would matter on a battlefield.

When the war reached them, her father was recalled and later listed as missing. While Mira and her brother tried to move supplies and younger children rearward, an orc outrider band struck. Her brother drew the pursuit away. She returned to find only his bow, a torn bracer, and the disordered tracks of bodies that had been torn down and then stood up again. It was her first clear encounter with the living dead. She kept the bracer. Anger settled in beside the grief—anger at the orcs and at the dead that refused to stay down.

Later, while assigned to help escort captured elven scouts, the convoy passed a village already touched by the risen. Raiders and a handful of the living dead hit them at once. Mira pulled a trapped civilian child from under a collapsed roof. An arrow meant for her was knocked aside by a gloved hand; from the shadows an elven voice noted that her speed was good, but not yet enough against the dead. The speaker belonged to the Hidden Blades, elves who operated outside formal woodland command and who had begun hunting both war criminals and the more dangerous sources of the rising corpses.

After her brother’s death Mira sought them out. Near a dwarf-held mountain path she met them again. Younger dwarves from Broken Anvil Hold, worried that the dead were creeping toward their mine roads, offered limited cover and tools in exchange for help clearing nearby gatherings. The training that followed was severe. She was pushed to turn her natural reflexes into something reliable: to move at the first sign of an attack, to disappear in ruins and darkness, to judge which corpses were fully turned, and to cut off spread without drawing an entire company. She continued to appear on the line as a soldier and still accepted dwarf engineering support when it kept her people alive, yet she also began acting on her own—destroying orders that would have spent her unit as pure bait and passing selective reports of the dead’s movements.

Revenge remains part of her course. She wants the leader of the orc band that killed her brother and those on the human side who deliberately sent certain veterans, including men from her father’s unit, into death. The living dead have tangled every trail: some targets are already walking, some enemies must be tolerated for a time because they slow the corpses, and some old dealings only surface inside the chaos the dead create. The name Ash Crown still circulates. To some it recalls an officer who once held ground; to others it means the quiet, fast figure who strikes at the edge of the risen and still carries her brother’s bracer. She has no special blood and follows no grand pact. She is a border soldier’s daughter who became an assassin while the war, and the dead, kept removing clean choices.
