This system provides realistic bullet penetration dynamics for your Unreal Engine-based games. A bullet can pass through an object and damage another object behind it, but this effect depends on several factors:

  • Object Type: The bullet's behavior is influenced by the type of object it hits. Materials like metal, wood, and glass affect the bullet’s penetration power. For example, metal surfaces will resist the bullet more, while wooden surfaces may allow it to pass through more easily.

  • Object Thickness: The thickness of the object determines how far the bullet can penetrate. A 20cm thick wall is easier for a bullet to pass through compared to a 1-meter thick one.

  • Bullet Penetration Power: Each bullet has a certain penetration power. It can penetrate different thicknesses based on its strength, and may pass through weak spots to reach and affect stronger objects.

  • Bullet Energy: A bullet loses energy with each hit. This energy loss reduces the bullet's damage and penetration capacity with each subsequent hit. If the bullet loses enough energy, it may no longer penetrate the next object.
