Hungry Worm is a 3D arcade style snake game where the player controls a worm that grows by consuming food, animals, and NPC characters across a dynamic environment.
As the worm eats, its length increases in real time using a smooth procedural growth system. Players must collect stars while carefully avoiding bombs hitting a bomb triggers an explosion and results in game over.
The world is kept engaging with a random spawning system that continuously generates food, AI characters, animals, stars, and bombs. To maintain performance, an object pooling system is implemented, allowing actors to be efficiently reused instead of destroyed.
NPCs and animals feature simple AI behavior, automatically moving away when the worm approaches, adding life and interaction to the environment.
The template also includes smooth worm movement, responsive animations, polished UI, and VFX/SFX feedback, along with integrated background music creating a complete and satisfying gameplay experience that is easy to customize and expand.
