GC Batch Fracture helps you convert multiple Static Meshes into fractured Chaos Geometry Collections in a single batch operation.

Select your meshes, choose a preset, and let the plugin generate organized GC_ assets automatically. The tool can prepare generated collections for runtime use by fixing tiny fragments, validating the collection, generating convex collision hulls, creating Chaos simulation data, and rebuilding render data.

It is built for production-friendly editor workflows: presets for fast preview or runtime-safe generation, safe handling of existing assets, progress/cancel support, automatic saving, and multiple safety limits to reduce the risk of extremely heavy fracture jobs.

Use it when you need to prepare dozens of props for Chaos destruction without manually repeating the same Fracture Mode steps asset by asset.

Technical notes

  • Editor-only plugin.

  • ChaosEditor plugin needed

  • Target version: Unreal Engine 5.6.

  • Uses Chaos Geometry Collections, Fracture Engine, Dataflow selection utilities, and Geometry Collection collision utilities.

  • Generated assets should be tested in context before shipping gameplay content.

  • Very complex meshes or high fracture settings can increase generation time significantly.

Known limitations / honest notes

  • Runtime collision quality depends on the source mesh and fracture settings.

  • Very small fragments may be merged, skipped, or simplified by Chaos.

  • Multi-level fracture can generate many pieces and may become slow on complex meshes.

  • Non-overlapping convex hull generation is experimental/advanced and can be significantly slower.

  • Direct overwrite of existing Geometry Collections is intentionally avoided to prevent stale editor render/physics data issues. Existing assets are skipped or auto-renamed instead.
