Animated Rope Physics created with Blender.

Physics:
The physics are simulated using Blender's cloth physics. There is a long plane object that has the cloth physics, and the rope object follows along with the cloth object.

Rope Presets:
Included in the product files is a Blender file with three rope presets: A free falling rope with no hooks, a rope with one hook on the end, and a rope with a hook on either side of the rope.

Animate the Rope:
You can select the hook empty objects on the ends of the rope and animate their location, to move the rope around in an animation. You can also adjust the start position of the rope by editing the long plane cloth object in edit mode.
