The Arquus VT4 is a French light scout vehicle designed as a forward cavalry reconnaissance platform, locating enemy forces and relaying positions to command. Based on a civilian 4×4 chassis, the VT4 blends into urban environments, making it harder for automated systems to identify. It features secure datalinks and digital radios for real-time communications.

The VT4 can deploy up to four ALE drones, each operating for several hours at ranges up to 50 km. These drones relay reconnaissance data to headquarters and can strike targets of opportunity with a 12 kg HEAT warhead. For self-defense and fire support, the VT4 mounts an electrically operated, two-axis stabilized remote weapon station compatible with machine guns, grenade launchers, or light autocannons.

Armor protection includes bullet-resistant glass, reinforced panels, and underside blast vents for mine protection. The standard crew is three: driver, weapons operator, and mission payload specialist for drone operations.
