MetaHuman for Houdini enables you to create MetaHuman-compatible strand-based grooms in SideFX Houdini and import them into Unreal Engine via the Alembic file format.

With MetaHuman for Houdini you can:

  • Use a structured, procedural workflow to style hair on the standard MetaHuman head mesh,

  • Create complex hairstyles such as ponytails, knots, buns, braids and donuts, in conjunction with Houdini’s procedural toolset,

  • Export MetaHuman-compatible grooms to Unreal Engine to be worn by your character,
