A modern dormitory apartment building constructed modularly, featuring ray-traced reflections and fully baked lightmaps. All single dormitory rooms in the building are accessible, with functional stairs providing access from the ground floor to any level, including the rooftop.
The doors of all single rooms in the scene are equipped with blueprints that allow for real-time room number updates. The project includes 17 types of hanging laundry, a total of 40 rooftop pipes and equipment models, a fan blueprint, a clock blueprint, a spline tool blueprint, and 5 different fruit and vegetable display rack blueprints—the latter of which offer between 4 to 28 model variants.
All modular building components are configured with sockets, supporting modular assembly via the Modular Snap System (Snap) plugin
Ray Tracing and the GPU Lightmass plugin must be enabled.
The scene features fully baked lightmaps combined with enabled Ray-Traced Reflections (RTR) and Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO). By default, Ray-Traced Shadows are disabled for most light sources to optimize performance
The scene contains tools that use the Spline mesh blueprint to make wires, but because Spline mesh does not support ray tracing in Unreal 4.26 (which means that Splinemesh cannot generate lighting and shadows in the blueprint state), If you choose not to bake lightmaps and instead use real-time Ray-Traced Global Illumination ,All the wires in the scene do not actually generate shadows and global illumination. If you need complete lighting effects, you need to combine the wire blueprint into a mesh and replace the actor.
Each single apartment unit is designed with a designated bathroom and bedroom area. Although the modular components are built using a standard 1x1 grid, the units located in the corner modules differ in size from the standard rooms, and the placement of their bathrooms varies accordingly
The fan blueprint, clock blueprint, and room door digital signage are only functional in Play mode (running state). To modify text properties such as color and font, you must locate the BP_door_widget within the Blueprints folder and edit the text components there.
The clock is available in both round and square styles. The clock blueprint in the scene operates at real-time speed. You can determine the starting time by adjusting the rotation of the hour, minute, and second hands.
For instance, to set the time to 3 o'clock, you would set the rotation value of the hour hand component in the blueprint to -90 degrees; the same principle applies to adjusting the minute and second hands.
The main modular building components, floor modules, pipes, rooms, and doors are all pre-configured with sockets. This allows for direct modular construction using the Snap plugin (Note: the "Ignore Socket Name" option need to enabled).
The market on the first floor, the rooftop, room 0201, and the corridors on all floors are accessible. Although every single room features an internal structure, only room 0201 is fully furnished and open for entry in this scene. Other shops on the first floor are designed to be unopened or closed and are currently inaccessible.
