VIDEO_WALKTHROUGH, VIDEO_QUICK_START
This pack is designed to create fast and easy, huge open-world palm jungles in Unreal Engine 5. It contains everything you need to create a beautiful jungle ecosystem, from different types of palms to bamboo, grass, fern, rocks, etc. The landscape auto-material comes with automatic slope variation and with 12 layers, to help you paint textures like: cobblestone, dirt, mud, sand, cliff, etc. The automatic landscape material is designed in such a way that for all 12 layers, there are 2 level of details: one level which is very detailed, when the player is closer to the texture and another one which is less detailed, when the player is further away from the texture. This way, the player will always see the right amount of details, as it is natural.
The pack contains 1 Overview map and 3 example maps with different lighting setups for different time of days and moods. The example maps are created with real-world heightmaps, 8k and 4k resolution. Two of the heightmaps have a surface area of 25 square km and the third has a surface area of 100 square km. . Everything is well optimized, the foliage has 4 or 5 LODs, the rocks are nanite enabled, and all the big plants have billboards so they are very cheap from the resources consumption point of view. Starting with UE 5.5 version, all meshes are Nanite so LODs are not necessary.
This pack works perfectly with any type of landscape (designed in Unreal Engine with it's built-in tools, or created from a heightmap or with alpha brushes)
This pack is the perfect tool to texture and populate with foliage your huge open world tropical landscape
This pack works very well in combination with Open World Template (for those willing to add day-night cycle or dynamic weather system to their open-world game)
Attention: This product is using World Partition to keep everything optimized. When you first open the demo map, the landscape regions will not be loaded and this is why you can not see the landscape inside the editor. In order to see the landscape, you will have to go to the World Partition Tab and select all the regions after that right click on the selection and press Load Regions from Selection. You have to do this only once per project. This is how Unreal Engine works...
This product supports Lumen for Unreal Engine 5.0+ .
For very realistic results, I recommend using this pack in combination with a real-world heightmap/landscape
If you like this pack, feel free to write a review and rate it. This will keep me motivated to create better and better assets. Thank you!
