Updated on 1 July 2026, v2.5.0 for UE 5.6 - 5.8. Manually setting reverb region (zone) is now fully supported. For more details, please see the changelog or the new tutorial in our YouTube playlist.
This plugin offers a completely procedural approach to sound design in Unreal by adding new native synthesizer nodes to MetaSounds graphs. Its three main features are:
SFX Synthesizers: These synthesizers follow a physical-based approach to create sound from scratch. There are over 320 SFX graphs for car engines, footsteps, gunshots, whooshes, liquid, melee impacts, and magic. Each graph allows direct control over gain, pitch, play speed, duration, materials (wood, glass, stone, metal, plastic), event sequence, etc. So you can easily modify their parameters to create countless variations without losing quality. And thanks to MetaSounds modular features, you can also use them as building blocks to create your own unique effect.
Virtual Instruments: Our physical based piano synthesizer offers a more genuine and dynamic playing experience than sampled-based techniques. Each model is meticulously crafted and calibrated to replicate the original piano sound, including hammer noise and subtle effects such as sympathetic resonance.
Dynamic Spatialization & Reverb System: Our dynamic reverb system automatically adapts to your game levels by scanning the scene and modifying reverb nodes through MetaSounds interfaces. Furthermore, our HRTF synthesizer can convert mono audio into immersive 3D spatial audio for headphones in real-time. To learn more, please watch this video.
With our step-by-step tutorials and detailed document, we make sure all the features of the plugin are carefully explained and up-to-date.
Now, you might ask why procedural SFX graphs are much better than wave files. There are several key benefits:
Worry free: all of our graphs generate SFX from scratch using only physical modeling and DSP techniques. They deliver high quality results without background noises. Because they are integrated into the MetaSounds framework, you don't need to manually configure or worry about sample rate mismatches, which can occur when using pre-recorded samples.
More variations, customization, and reusability: you can easily change the speed, duration, pitch, weight, and material (wood, metal, glass, etc.) of our graphs anytime, anywhere, without additional computation cost while preserving their original quality. Now you no longer need to listen to hundreds of SFX to find one that fits your needs.
More controllable: you can choose to run our graphs at runtime to allow player input to dynamically control your SFX, or render them to wave files to reduce CPU load. You have full control over what, where, when, and how these graphs operate.
All sound effects you create using this plugin and its built-in models are entirely yours. This means you can write the output of our graphs to WAV files and use them in other programs or even sell them on marketplaces, without legal concerns.
