My stylized explosion VFX pack is back with this UE5 Niagara update

The new Niagara effects now have very convenient exposed parameters

  • Activate_debris - activation of mesh debris emitter with a single checkbox
  • Debris_scale_per_element - easily change the size of mesh debris
  • Debris_spawn_multiplier - control the number of debris
  • Activate_decal - turn on or off the decal, can be deactivated if you want to use the FX as an air explosion
  • Decal_duration - control the lifetime of decal
  • Decal_size_multiplier - change the size
  • Activate_distortion - distortion can be expensive for some games
  • Distortion_Strength - chose the strength of distortion
  • Activate_dust_radial - radially moving dust
  • Dust_spawn_rate_multiplier - more or less dust
  • Activate_initial_flare - if you prefer not to use initial flash you can always turn it off
  • Activate_lamp - lamps can be expensive, so just turn it off if you can live without it
  • Activate_circle_wave - on/off stylized circle wave
  • Glow_power - emissive strength (you can set it to 0 and get black explosions)
  • Activate_trails - on/off the trails
  • Trail_spawn_multiplier - number of trails
  • Debris_Collision_GPU_Dist_field - collisions can be expensive. Also if you prefer other types of collision calculations, please open the effect and change collision type inside the "Mesh_debris" emitters
  • Color - chage color of explosions


  • The effects are located inside the "Particles" folder and all start with FX_ prefix
  • The pack consist of 6 major types of stylized (cartoony) explosion effects, each type has size variations (sm, med, lrg)

The pack consist of 6 major types of stylized (cartoony) explosion effects, each type has size variations (sm, med, lrg) and color variations (red, green, blue)


Type01 - antimatter explosion / Type02 - mega-spikes explosion / Type03 - glass explosion / Type04 - wood explosion / Type05 - coins explosion / Type06 - sharp cuts explosion /


E.g.

P_r_Explosion_gr_med_01 - red, medium size explosion, type 1

P_g_Explosion_gr_lrg_04 - green, large size explosion, type 4

P_b_Explosion_gr_sm_05 - blue, small size explosion, type 5
