The materials use displacement for close angles, so you need to use mm as a unit of measurement or adjust the displacement value manually (if using other units).
For long angles you can turn off displacement and use only Normal.

-Finishing materials in max 2014 (VRay, Corona) and Blender 3.2 (Cycles)
If necessary, you can use Subdivision surface on models.
