Runtime World Generation is a procedural world generation and streaming system for Unity, designed to create large, visually rich environments dynamically at runtime while maintaining high performance.
Generate and automatically stream terrain, vegetation, water, and world objects around the player, camera, or any custom follow transform. The world can start from any position and continues generating as the followed transform moves.
No manual terrain sculpting, texture painting, or foliage placement is required.
Main Features
• Runtime Procedural World Generation – Generate terrain and world content dynamically at runtime.
• Automatic World Streaming – Regions, vegetation, and objects are automatically streamed around the followed transform.
• Start Anywhere – The player, camera, or follow transform can start at any world position.
• Areas, Regions & Biomes – Organize large worlds using configurable geographical Areas, Regions, and Biomes.
• Spawn Matrix – Control large-scale Area distribution using a continuously repeating configurable matrix.
• Procedural Terrain Generation – Create mountains, hills, terrain noise, and configurable height structures.
• Procedural Ground Materials – Automatically blend terrain textures using height, slope, and procedural noise.
• Vegetation & Object Spawning – Spawn grass, trees, rocks, bushes, buildings, props, and other custom objects.
• Custom Content Support – Add your own environment assets using the included editor tools.
• Indirect GPU Instancing – Efficient rendering for large amounts of vegetation.
• Runtime Water System – Configurable water support.
• Weather System – Clear, Rain, and Snow states with compatible snow and wetness effects.
• Timing & Day/Night System – Optional time progression, seasons, sky, clouds, and day/night cycle in URP.
• Multiplayer Integration – Synchronize generated Regions, spawned objects, world time, object removal, new worlds, and joining clients. Tested with Unity Netcode for GameObjects.
• Deterministic Save/Load – Save and restore generated worlds with support for multiple named saves.
• Runtime Terrain Sampling API – Query generated terrain positions for gameplay objects, enemies, buildings, resources, and other systems.
• Runtime Foliage & Object Removal – Remove generated content dynamically through runtime functions.
• Region Events – React to Region spawning, activation, deactivation, removal, and player movement.
• Object Setup Editor Tools – Quickly configure custom trees, grass, vegetation, rocks, props, buildings, and other spawnable objects.
• Performance Focused – Region-based streaming and GPU-instanced vegetation are designed for large runtime-generated environments.
• Sky Shader - Clouds triggers with weather events and day-night cycle implemented with sun and moon.

• 6 bushes
• 3 dead leafs
The included models are example content. Runtime World Generation is not a 3D model pack. Its primary purpose is to provide a flexible runtime procedural world generation and streaming framework.
Requirements
• Unity 6 or newer
• Visual Effect Graph (VFX Graph) required
• Mobile platforms are not officially supported
