Need a simple, single-layer, customizable water shader for your scene? Here you go! Save yourself hours of work by using this ready-made material. An ocean simulation in Blender helped generate this tiling ocean material, which was used to create an animated flipbook to displace 3D waves on a tessellated plane in Unreal, giving you translucent, optimized, believable ocean water with plenty of options to customize the final look. The shader includes the following customizable features:

  • WPO disable distance

  • Distance Blend range

  • Cell bombing for repetition

  • Wave FPS control, near and far
