This HDRI captures a quiet residential neighborhood at night in the Bulwar Staromiejski district in the center of Wrocław, Poland. Modern apartment buildings, illuminated walkways, landscaped green areas, and realistic street lighting create an authentic residential environment with natural night-time reflections and balanced ambient illumination.

Professional Capture

The panorama was captured using a Sony A7R IV paired with a Samyang 12 mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fish-eye lens. This professional full-frame setup made it possible to capture the entire scene quickly while maintaining excellent optical quality and high-resolution detail.

The HDRI was photographed at ISO 400 without any AI denoising. At this low ISO setting, denoising was unnecessary, preserving the original sensor data, fine details, and the full dynamic range of the scene.

A neutral daylight white balance was used throughout the capture to preserve physically accurate lighting and reproduce the authentic colors of the night.

No AI was used—this is a real location captured under genuine night-time conditions. Since the original data remains untouched, you can always apply your preferred denoising method during post-processing if your workflow requires it.

To use this HDRI in Unreal Engine, simply enable the free HDRI Backdrop plugin created by Epic. It comes pre-installed in UE5—just go to Edit → Plugins, search for HDRI Backdrop, and click Enable.
